New Beginnings

Hi All, it has been awhile since I’ve put my fingers to the keyboard and have written much, if anything. But it feels good to be back, writing again sharing our story, a new beginning in a way yet also returning.

So, let me introduce myself, share about the new website, and where things are at.

I’m Liz…I am a wife 21 years into marriage with my best friend and highschool sweetheart, a mom of 2 boys earth side and 1 girl heaven side. I have always loved being creative and find myself most drawn to nature photography and writing about my life’s adventures and journey. But as time goes by I am finding other creative endeavors that I am enjoying, picking reading back up, and making lots of shifts.

I have been writing, on and off, since 2011. 2011 it was for healing and sharing my journey with a miscarriage at 17 weeks with our first pregnancy. Then as I had other kids my writing began to shift and be more about being a mom. So while I have been writing on and off for the past 15 years, my webpage has changed along with it. What began as My Infant Loss sharing my journey through miscarriage, became my Mama Side as my boys came, shifted briefly to My Wild Wonderful Life to share about all things not just being a mom, and landing now on Heart Roots where I will share all about the heart things, the home, and wherever this journey called life goes.

I am now in my 40s, my boys nearing the teen/preteen all too quickly, and I can see a life season change. We still homeschool and plan to until my kids graduate highschool. We have a new family business (that is mainly run by my hubby, but the rest of us help when needed), we have many new adventures we’ve added into our house and also made some shifts.
